The Larry Silver Memorial Cancer Campaign Fund

Westminster Optimist Club Programs
In honor of Larry Silver who died from leukemia in 2005 we have created the Larry Silver Memorial Cancer Campaign Fund. Proceeds from the Golf Tournament will be used to make grants available to assist families in financial need with children suffering from cancer and for other Westminster Optimist Club youth programs.
The Westminster Optimist Club is a service organization founded in 1988 which provides a variety of support to the youth of our community including but not limited to scholarships, support for an Adolescent Shelter, student of the month award, support for the Day Treatment program of The Community Reach mental health center, school supplies for Dist 50 students, Jr. Golf and other projects funded by request. Please know that your contribution to our Tournament will be put to the greatest possible good in our community.
The Westminster Optimist Club is a service organization with the motto "Friend of Youth". We support the youth in our community thru many avenues. We meet Tuesday mornings 7am at Ciancio's - located at The Courses at Hyland Hills, 9650 N Sheridan Blvd. Come join us - we'll buy you breakfast.
